DESK No. 5
Designed for: LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) Executive Office in New York, NY
Desk No. 5 was an exploration of the relationship between lines and planes. The frame is made of 1/4" thick steel with a matte black finish. The desk top and file drawers are high quality MDF with a natural zebrawood veneer and satin finish. The design was completed while employed with Chandler Pierce Architect for an executive office on the 7th floor of the LVMH corporate headquarters in Manhattan, NY. WORK Stations + WORK Tables
Designed for: Aerin offices + furniture showroom in New York, NY
Three work surfaces were created for Aerin while employed with Chandler Pierce Architect. In the design studio custom work stations were designed to keep the collaborative environment present, fabric wrapped panels were added for acoustical benefits and provided practical tackable surfaces for pinning up notes and inspiration. Adjacent to these stations a custom piece was built to accomodate presentations for both internal and for clients and storage space for products and print media. Within the next year Aerin opened a showroom in the New York Design Center where they required a custom work table for desingers and clients to meet over and review finish specifications.
ENTERTAINMENT Cabinet + SIDE Console
Designed for: Homeowner of Upper East Side apartment in New York City
The designs for this client are full of functionality – the entertainment cabient's main doors open and slide back into pockets to reveal a flatscreen TV and drawers for media storage while behind the two smaller doors there are mirror-lined shelves and felt-lined drawers housing the contents of a minbar. The second piece is a side console in the main dining room worthy of elaborate floral arrangments and large serving platters of gourmet hor d'oeuvres that, to anyone's surprise has interior felt-lined drawers designed especially to fit a variety of china and silver.
MODULAR Desks
Designed for: NYC startup for rentable creative office space in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, NY
While employed with the New York, NY firm, Chandler Pierce Architect, the office was hired to produce desks, chairs, and pedestal cabinets for an ambitious startup in New York City. This startup is now known as Neuehouse and has locations in NYC, Los Angeles, and London. The desks were made at two different modular sizes to allow for customization within the offices available for rent to small businesses and traveling entrepreneurs alike. They were made to pack flat to cut down transportation costs, materials were kept simple and industrial with a sealed steel frame and inset wood top with a durable laminate surface. Our office also cooridnated the custom upholstery of work chairs and the manufacture of custom mobile pedestal cabinets.
