PROJECTS: Interior Design
AERIN Design Studio Main Offices
New York, NY
The design and oversight for this project was done while employed with Chandler Pierce Architect in Manhattan, NY. A full scope of work was provided starting with design development and including the completion of permitting, construction documents, consultant and contractor coordination, budget oversight, custom furniture design, and closeout documentation. The end result was a renovated office space that provided the client with a mixture of open and private spaces for their designers and support staff to work, meet with vendors, and present their products to buyers.
AERIN Furniture Showroom
New York, NY
The design and oversight for this project was done while employed with Chandler Pierce Architect in Manhattan, NY. The original space was one large furniture showroom that was reduced in square footage allowing for the client to take over a 4,000 square foot space that would ultimately showcase designs from two brands. The space was divided into two ‘corridors’ with strategic openings to allow for a line of sight into the adjacent area. Finishes, lighting, and millwork were the main focuses of this project as the client would be filling it with their furniture and products.
XAVIER University of Louisiana, College of Pharmacy Student Lounge
New Orleans, LA
The design and oversight for this project was done while employed with Blitch Knevel Architects in New Orleans, LA. The existing space that was renovated in the College of Pharmacy at Xavier University of Louisiana was dark and uninviting to students, it housed some administrative offices and a small area of computers for student use. Through a process of design collaboration with representatives of the student body a space was created that would encourage both individual and group studies by providing a variety of spaces. Lively colors, patterns, and new textures were introduced to give students a comfortable and attractive retreat on campus to call their own.
BROOKLYN Condominium Renovation
Brooklyn, NY
The design and oversight for this project was done while employed by a certified Interior Designer, Susan Arann, in New York City, NY. The client was a businessman in New York and had recently purchased the empty condo that had recently undergone an architectural renovation with new appliances, fixtures, and finishes. During the interior design and decoration process Samantha was tasked with completing design and technical drawings, specification and purchasing of furniture, finishes, and accessories, and the coordination and oversight of deliveries and installation.
At the end of the process Samantha designed a small book for the client as a gift from the entire design team that summarized and highlighted the work that was put in to reach the resulting space. Click on the rose logo above to see more of this print design project.
